20 Irrefutable Myths About Robot Vacuum Deals: Busted

Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

This is your chance to own a robot vacuum. CNET's top models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday with savings of up to 57%..

The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping with app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. Its biggest advancement is an obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often plough right through). It's the first robot to send you images of objects that it encounters, so you can tell that it is safe to avoid it.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, picking up dirt and spills with ease without leaving any trace that was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't sweep in areas you don’t wish to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off by speaking to it.

The design is also superior to the other models. It has a sleek, top piece that looks like toys rather than an obnoxious and loud robot. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying and is ideal to speed up cleaning.

In our tests, we discovered that the j7+ was quick to took away dirt, dust, and hair from pets. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one location instead of scattering it across the floor. It was able capture small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a tiny bit of grit. Most robots can't do this. And all of this without getting caught in our pet's shedding hair.

Although  cleaning robots 's not as smart as the Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum and can't clean stairs, the j7+ is still an excellent option for those who need mopping and a vacuum in their home. It's not too expensive, and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly to use.

While the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that work with robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and at times it's difficult to tell whether the update actually functioning until you've seen it in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean your floors, a hybrid is the best choice. This category of bots typically comes with a built-in tank for water which means they can vacuum and mop your home simultaneously. These bots also come with many additional features like smart mapping and small object avoidance and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. They're expensive at retail, but they often come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock has some of our favorite robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. This is the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. While it may not have some of the more expensive features (like no-go zones or multi-story memories) however, it's a great choice if you are willing to make a few compromises to save a few dollars.

The Q5+ is extremely gentle when it comes down to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it an excellent option for homes with many furniture pieces. It's also very thorough in cleaning dust bunnies, which is an area where many cheaper robot vacuums often fall short. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is excellent as well, with only a few missed corners and along walls.

Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled by a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. The app allows you to start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, design virtual barriers and no-go zones and alter your home map, or re-label rooms.

If you choose the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make the robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, however, once it's in place it can be accomplished with relative ease. It also has an impressive LCD display which is great to have when you're setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn't required for everyone, however it can help you effectively keep the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a smart, well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of vacuuming and mopping. Its design and function are some of the most advanced available however, it's also expensive.

It is a relatively small base station that looks beautiful and is easily hidden when not in use. The primary selling point of the station is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, functions and chores that other robots would leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. Most other robovacs will require you to do this.

Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's one of the only robovacs that I've tried that does a really good job of cleaning up debris from plain floors, and is not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially in the area of navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robovacs. This means that it is prone to getting stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the house. It's not able climb stairs as well as some competitors, either and doesn't come with an dock that allows you to create a dedicated cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who need a robot vacuum that does everything.

If you're looking for a way to save money or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of alternatives available. Many eufy models cost substantially less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example is less expensive, but offers more features, including stair climbing and a full-function Dock, with an improved overall experience when vacuuming on floors that are unfinished, low-pile carpets, and even high-pile ones.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

eufy is an Anker company that has a history of producing robot vacuums with the right combination of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning of hard and carpet floors, as well as mopping capabilities at a reasonable price. It's simple to set up simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, switch it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock should be located near an outlet and have plenty of room to move.

The G30 is a tiny device that measures 2.85 inches in height, which means it will be tucked away under couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design is less ostentatious when compared to rival models. It has a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern for two minutes), Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.

The most important characteristic that makes the G30 apart from its competitors is the way it cleans. It makes use of an integrated map to draw a picture of the immovable items in its path. It can remember the items it has cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. If it requires a recharge, it returns to its base, and then resumes cleaning where it started.

The eufy G30 has its flaws, though. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower recurring costs. It charges faster, has a similar battery life, and performs better on unfinished floors or low-pile carpet. It has a larger dust bin, which doesn't require more emptying. It also comes with boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 on the other hand, is more affordable and a lot more manageable to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't need to be emptied as often and it's less difficulty handling bulky products such as cereal.
